Vic: Search for missing tourist in Melbourne wetlands
MELBOURNE, Dec 14 AAP - An elderly woman missing from a home in Melbourne's southeast
is a visitor to Australia who can't speak English, police said.
Police today said they were concerned for the 74-year-old's welfare after she failed
to return from a walk.
Senior Constable Carla Coslovich said the woman was last seen at a home in Wool Shed
Road, Narre Warren South, yesterday afternoon.
Police helicopters and mobile patrols searched the nearby Berwick Springs and wetland
areas but could not find the her, Snr Const Coslovich said.
The woman is described as Asian in appearance, about 170cm tall with a solid build,
black collar-length wavy hair, and wearing glasses, slacks and a jacket.
